We are delighted to be recruiting for this new key role within the Technical Directorate which will define, develop and execute the BA Technical Strategic Plan.

As the Aviation Industry continues to rebuild, this role will be critical in defining including supporting key business decisions around future products, footprint and strategic alliances.

As a core member of the BA Technical leadership team, you will lead the transformation initiatives and be accountable for:

  • Defining BA's Engineering and Maintenance strategy, working closely with BA and IAG strategy to ensure aligned strategic thinking.
  • Fostering and channel strategic thinking in the organisation, developing the strategic plan for the next 5 to 10 years, including scenario analysis to facilitate decision making; analysis of financial climate, market trend, partnership and alliances and output inclusion in the financial planning cycles.
  • Leading key strategic projects, as defined by or recommended to the Management Committee, working with other parts of the business to answer complex business questions.
  • Ensuring business transformation is coherent and is organised and aligned with the wider BA transformation project and its implementation follows a standard approach and engages all relevant teams.
  • Coordinating the E&M business planning process and collaborate with IAG Strategy and BA Finance.
  • Motivating and leading a team to not only execute the plans but to create an environment where our colleagues feel included and proud to be part of our thriving and diverse teams.

  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Law, Accounting or Engineering
  • MBA or advanced degree in business desirable
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in top tier strategy consulting or investment banking (or combination of these)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven senior leadership skills
  • Has knowledge and understanding of a CI environment.
