IT Support Technician - Exeter

+ Key Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support for hardware software and connectivity issues
Diagnose and resolve common IT problems password resets printer issues email configuration device connectivity Set up and configure laptops tablets mobile devices for new staff Maintain accurate records of support requests using ticketing system Escalate complex technical issues to third-party IT support CF Systems with clear documentation Create and configure user accounts across Microsoft 365 PeopleHR SchoolPod other business systems Set up email accounts shared drives appropriate system permissions Configure door access cards physical security systems Process leaver requests ensuring timely account deactivation data handover Work towards automated onboarding processes as systems develop Support the rollout of new bespoke systems including MIS Basecamp intranet Learning Hub Health Safety system Deliver training sessions one-to-one small groups on new systems features Create simple user guides quick reference cards video tutorials Champion digital skills across organisation building staff confidence technology Gather user feedback on systems report issues improvement opportunities Maintain accurate inventory all IT equipment laptops tablets monitors peripherals Coordinate device procurement liaising suppliers quotes delivery Track software licences flag upcoming renewals Manage IT consumables stock cables adaptors mice keyboards Arrange equipment repairs warranty claims Document common IT issues solutions shared knowledge base Maintain up-date records system configurations access permissions Create update IT user guides FAQs Contribute policy documentation acceptable use data protection security + Qualifications & Training GCSE Maths English Grade 4/C or above Basic ICT qualification CompTIA A+ Microsoft Fundamentals BTEC ICT Level 3 or equivalent Full UK driving licence travel between sites Desired qualifications certification Computer Science degree CompTIA Network+ Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) MSC Cyber Security Certification
