Position Details:

The Nissan Skills Foundation was created in order to raise the aspirations of local children and young people. Their prime objective is to show the local community that social issues, economic background and gender are not barriers to a potential career in advanced Engineering and
Manufacturing.

Nissan's dedicated School team, based at the Sunderland Plant, want to inspire the next generation of British design, engineering and manufacturing talent.

Outline and Responsibilities:

Daily delivery of various programmes to local schools to children of all ages
Champion for engagement in STEM activities. Working with young children to encourage growth in STEM related learning while increasing awareness of opportunities within the automotive sector
Reviewing and updating course material

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Work towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
Ability to communicate and engage with children, young adults and teachers
Evidence of good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum of supervision
An understanding of equality and diversity
Passionate about education, encouraging and supporting children and young people, including SEN, ages 81
Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
Working in a small team; friendly approach; team player; engaging communicator, confident, proactive and flexible
