Investigo are delighted to have been retained by a growing, acquisitive Milton Keynes based Construction Services & Property Company who are looking to recruit a Head of Finance, on a permanent basis.

Our Client has experienced exceptional growth over the past two years and they project double digit growth in 2023. This continued growth will come both organically and by way of acquisition.

The role of Head of Finance will report into the Managing Director and they will be the number one person in finance.

Their role will encompass all areas of finance and accounting, and the Head of Finance will be responsible for the leadership, coaching andcontinued development of the finance team.

This role will suit a professional finance leader who has experience of, and enjoys an all encompassing role.

With the business having an ambitious growth strategy, the Head of Finance will be expected to lead any financial analysis of potential M&A targets, working alongside Professional Advisors to undertake Due Diligence and run projects.

The Head of Finance will lead on all FP&A and they will be adept at developing budgeting and forecasting tools, as well as providing detailed management information to the SLT.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Provide FP&A finance support to the wider business related to job profitability reporting & overall P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow as well as producing the monthly reporting pack.
Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prioryear expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made. Looking to automate reporting where possible.
Oversight of Sage accounting system, and recently implemented Maximo an IBM platform for the construction industry.
Ensure decisions are made within the business that have gone through a process of commercial evaluation and that benefits are tracked and reported to ensure delivery.
Take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the finance function, identifying opportunities for process and efficiency improvements both within finance and the wider business.
Line management responsibility for the Head of Accounts, and other roles in the enabling functions of the organisation (IT, Compliance etc)
Help maintain and improve the control environment across the business.
Liaise with banks, tax advisors & other external professional advisors in accordance with the needs of the business.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with crossfunctional teams at all levels of the organisation.
