Image Data Group are a family run business with sites in Willerby (Hull), Howden & Brighton, operating at the forefront of marketing communications & providing print solutions/products since 1989.

We deliver innovative visual communications for the UK's leading retailers & corporations from banners, tension-fabric light boxes to presentation brochure packs & office stationary.

This Engineering & maintenance trainee/apprentice role is based in Willerby (DN14 7SE) & is a key role for our business as you will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a

You will be working pm Monday to Friday but we require some flexibility on this due to demands of the business & the need to be flexible to ensure our print/production teams can function normally with equipment/kit in good working order (shifts may change in line with business needs), with additional hours working evenings/weekends are available when business demands.


Main Function:


As a Trainee/Apprentice you will be fully supported in undertaking a range of on the job learning to build & expand on your knowledge/experience become a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer.

As an Apprentice you will be fully supported in undertaking a range of on the job learning and tutor led training to enable your journey to become a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer


Key Performance Tasks:


  • Learn all about engineering within Print Industry
  • Learn about the repair/maintenance of assets/buildings/equipment within multiple sites
  • Ability to work flexibly daily each working day will be different going from more maintenance labouring/enginering tasks, to fitting/repairing assets, & maintenance of buildings & equipment
  • Undertake relevant studies as necessary to complete Course (Apprentice route)
  • Work in accordance with Company HSE procedures to ensure compliance with working practices & standards at all times

Skills:


  • Must have Engineering qualification (trainee) or must be able to undertake relevant Apprenticeship program in Engineering
  • Have excellent time management skills and be reliable
  • Have a very high attention to detail
  • Excellent IT and technical skills/ability
  • Work as part of a team and able to use own initiative
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to rapidly changing work priorities
  • A helpful and cooperative attitude.

What you will have:


  • Must have Engineering qualification (trainee) or must be able to undertake relevant Apprenticeship program in Engineering
  • 3 GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English and preferably IT/Tech
  • A keen interest in Print Industry
  • Be inquisitive and want to learn
  • Be prepared to study for the relevant Apprenticeship

The post holder must be flexible to ensure the operational needs of Image Data Group and partnership organisations are met.
