    Description

    Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering Role

    A leading multi-disciplinary contractor is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. With expertise in delivering large-scale civil engineering projects, this opportunity presents itself at an exciting time for the company's expansion.

    The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a significant highways scheme worth £6.5m. This project follows Option A under NEC 4 and is set to commence on-site in January 2025, with completion slated for June 2026.

    About the Role

    This site-based position offers a structured career path and comprehensive support for professional and personal development. The ideal candidate will be working on bulk earthworks for a brand-new road as part of a greenfield project.

    Requirements

    • A qualification at HNC level or above in a construction-related discipline, or active pursuit of such a qualification.
    • Prior experience as an Assistant QS, with confidence in leading schemes with guidance from the SQS on-site.
    • Ability to lodge away 3 nights per week in Guildford if not residing within a comfortable commuting distance.

    Civil Engineering Expertise

    This role demands strong knowledge in quantity surveying, particularly in the context of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
