Overview of the role of Teaching Assistant


Mynydd Haf School provides high quality learning experiences within a small, focused nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an IDP/ALN Statement and have ADHD and/or express behaviours that are challenging or inappropriate in a community setting.

Class sizes are small. The staff to student ratio is usually 2:4 in all classes.

The salary advertised is the salary paid to you in 12 equal payments, for working 39 weeks of the year.


More about the role


As a Teaching Assistant within our school, you will be providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.

As the Teaching Assistant you will be required to provide support to students in and out of the classroom, assist Teachers with a range of educational needs, liaise with parents and external agencies where suitable, support with appropriate interventions such as literacy and numeracy, and to work collaboratively as a team to improve outcomes for our students

You will be playing your part in helping the school achieve its aims and values.

You will be delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students with support from the leadership team.
