Assistant/Trainee Engineer

Salary £30,900

Location Nottingham

3 Shift (Earlies/Lates/Nights)
gap technical are proud to be representing this industry leading engineering business in their search for Assistant/Trainee Engineer to work at their facility based near Nottingham

Performance Objectives

Conduct routine maintenance on the automated cranes & associated equipment
Monitor the operation and ensure any stoppages are dealt with promptly.
Comply with all site H&S measures; actively seek to identify new risks to you and others and work to eliminate them.
Use a dedicated MCS system to monitor site activity and investigate problems.
Advise customer of any stock issues.
Be available for overtime and to occasionally cover holidays and sickness in the team and for projects and breakdowns.
To always work in accordance with the Risk Assessment, Safe System of Work or Work Place Risk Assessment as provided
To work within the team on site ensuring that the equipment is maintained to a high level and that customer expectations are met. You will also ensure that the system delivers the required performance levels in line with the performance KPI's. All thesetasks are to be performed with H&S as the primary consideration.

Person Specification

Knowledge of warehousing and distribution
Good electrical background
Experience of lone working or small teams
Confident working at height
Good communication skills
Experience of dealing with customers/staff
Health & Safety Training
Full Driving Licence
