Workforce Personnel are a recruitment agency currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a fulltime Care Assistants in the central Bedfordshire area.

The following locations are Houghton Regis, Dunstable, and Leighton Buzzard.


About the home:

The clients are over 55s who live in the independent schemes.


Your duties will include:
-


  • To support residents with all assessed care needs in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
  • To help in the care of the residents' physical environment and the general daytoday activities of the service.

Responsibilities:


  • Monitor the needs of the residents, informing a Team Leader or other senior staff member of any emergency situation or concern about their wellbeing.
  • Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity, and choice and assist in their daily living.
  • Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
  • To assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Support catering staff with meal preparation and service, including support to residents as directed.
  • At all times be aware of the security of the building in relation to residents and staff safety,
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed; the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader or Registered Manager from time to time.

Required:
-


  • This position requires you to complete all mandatory training and an enhanced DBS before being able to undertake any working assignment.
  • A minimum of 6 months UK experience within a similar care setting in the last 2 years
  • Be flexible to travel driving licence and own transport is preferable to get to shifts but is not a necessity.
  • Be flexible in your availability this role is worked on a scheduled rota.
  • Experience with providing support and care to adults or children.
  • You must have the right to work within the UK.
  • Medication trained is preferable, but however this can be offered if required.

Shift patterns:


Shifts patterns from 7am -2pm then 2pm-10pm 4pm-10pm and then waking night from 10pm -7am this can vary depends on which service.
