Description

We are looking for a Part-Time Finance Assistant to work in our UK office dealing with financial administration, processing and bookkeeping in order to maintain efficient running of the UK Finance Department.


Responsibilities include:


  • Posting and reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts, administration of credit card accounts
  • All aspects of accounts payable purchase requisitions, orders and invoices, preparing twicemonthly payment runs, managing supplier ledger, communications with suppliers.
  • Reviewing, processing and paying employee expense claims, ensuring they comply with company policy and tax legislation.
  • Recharging of intercompany expenses to/from parent company in Portugal
  • Procurement of goods/services from approved suppliers as required.
  • Providing support to the UK finance audit
  • Ensuring that the group purchasing policy is adhered to in the UK including participating in the group Quality audit as required.
  • Maintaining supporting schedules as required for example details of staff expenses for PSA return.
  • Undertaking other finance administrative tasks and general support to the Finance Manager as required.
  • Maintain company filing system for invoices, receipts etc.
  • Maintain finance archiving system.
  • Office Management Support.

Qualifications and skills:


  • AAT qualified with 5 years' finance experience.
  • Excellent computer literacy including strong excel skills.
  • Good understanding of input VAT legislation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise and work to deadlines.

Please be advised that this role is
part time and the salary will therefore be pro-rated. The full time equivalent is up to £32,000.00 per annum.
