Skynet Service Continuity Contract, Serco Defence

MOC Hawthorn, Corsham, Wiltshire,

On site, Permanent, full time Monday to Friday

Serco are recruiting for a key role within their Space Capability.

The NOC Technical Trainer is an essential position within the Skynet Contract for ensuring all Network Operations & Planning Team members are trained and continually assessed to maintain expected skill levels.

In addition, this position is responsible for the coordination and recording of staff training requirements/achievements, exploring external training venue options, obtaining quotations, and securing bookings.

You will be required to provide input to the training forecast for budgeting purposes and attend regular department training meetings.


What you'll need to do the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, customer focused, practised communications NOC Technical Trainer to play a crucial role within the Skynet team.

Accordingly, previous experience of working in a highly skilled technical team with an operational output is essential.

You must be able to successfully articulate and deliver high quality training to both new and experienced NOC Operations staff.

You will be able to work independently, and as part of a team to ensure the best and safest work practices prevail.

You will always be looking at ways to improve the Service we provide whilst being mindful of the constraints and requirements of our contract obligations.


You must be comfortable working in a customer focused environment, have strong communications skills and an appreciation of the challenges with 24/7/365 operations.
