Are you a production planner? Have you worked in a manufacturing environment? If so, our client, a leading water and energy solutions provider, is looking for a Production Planner for their site in Aylesbury.

Reporting to the Production Planning Supervisor,this is a new role that will involve assisting with the co-ordination of the production schedules for two sites across inventory and production planning to meet service, cost, and timeliness objectives.


Production Planner
The Production Planner will have the following responsibilities

  • Managing and controlling daily production schedules and producing the production plan in line with the demand schedule.
  • Communicating with the sales order processing team to manage and control the order book.
  • Advising commercial teams on delivery schedules and customer requirements.
  • Liaising with procurement and logistics as required.
  • Advising Sales about increased lead times during busy periods.
  • Working with production managers and cell leaders to resolve potential production issues and avoid recurrences.
  • Managing recourse planning by taking into account factory capacity.
  • Maintaining stock accuracy across all locations to ensure physical stock matches system balances.
  • Liaising with all stakeholders to ensure that backflushing is completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining and promoting a compliance culture throughout the organisation.

Production Planner
The Production Planner will require the following essential skills/experience


Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with ERP systems.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Manufacturing or production planning qualifications would be advantageous.
