Responsibilities:
- Ensuring health, safety and environmental practices and processes are developed.
- Weekly site advisory safety reports and monthly safety audits.
- Proactively support the site induction process.
- Advise managers on HSE issues throughout the Company.
- To provide necessary training to staff to ensure standards are met.
- Monitoring and advising on high risk, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Respond to HSE incidents including carrying out investigations and risk assessment where necessary.
- Conduct regular meetings with site teams and carry out inspections with subcontractors.
Specific Experience:
The following skills / experience are minimum requirements:
- You should have 5 years similar work experience and have good working knowledge of CDM Regulations and Building Safety regs
- Qualified in Occupational Health and Safety and/or NEBOSH Construction certification or equivalent.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal, written and communication, training skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and good IT skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical, communication and written skills with a professional, personable demeanour and experience dealing with clients and representatives of statutory authorities.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work as a team player and assist colleagues across projects and departments as part of a collaborative company culture.
- Willingness to take ownership and personal responsibility for own actions as part of a company culture that values 'lessons learned' above blame.
