Description

The Equality Diversity and Inclusion Lead will lead on and co-ordinate the development of strategies and policies to support the strategic equality plan for CTMUHB.


With a focus on both compliance with legislation and other mandatory requirements as well as behavioural and cultural change relating to EDI.

This will ensure that CTMUHB meets its obligation in regards to the Equality Act 2010 and Human Rights Act 1998 as well as requirements set out in the Welsh Government Actions Plans which will enable the health board to create the conditions for everyone to thrive.


Develop, consult and publish the Strategic Equality Plan, annual equality report; and other reports as well as the Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) process and other related interventions whilst providing advice regarding their implementation and adherence to them across the UHB.


Design, develop and advise on the implementation of an equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, which ensures that these issues are managed throughout the UHB, leading to improved patient and staff outcomes and experience, safety and utilisation of CTMUHB resources.


Develop a monitoring framework and ensure that robust action plans are in place throughout the organisation to allow for the provision of assurance to the CTMUHB Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family.
