What will you be doing:


  • Providing engineering leadership and mentorship for the MCA UI community
  • Building, managing and leading the MCA UI team of software engineers
  • You will support & provide Form crossfunctional and crossdiscipline partnerships to drive engineering efforts
  • You will dive best practice, strategy and innovation across the UI space
  • Controlling quality through a keen focus on modern testing approaches and automation
  • You will build, manage and lead the MCA UI team of software engineers

What we're looking for:


  • Advanced JavaScript & Typescript experience
  • Experience in component Testing e.g Enzyme
  • OOP Experience and excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Experience working with distributed teams

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Continuous integration / deployment experience
  • Experience of state management tools / patterns such as redux / mobx / recoil
  • Experience with modern testing and e2e frameworks
  • Excellent experience in TDD / BDD and associated methodologies

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.

The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.

The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful greenenvironment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
