We now have an opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Health & Safety Advisor to join our friendly and close-knit team.

The primary function of this role is to support our successful shopfitting, maintenance and woodwork manufacturing business in developing and implementing an effective H&S culture and ensuring legal compliance.


Duties will include:

  • Work closely with Health & Safety Manager to ensure day to day policies and procedures are adhered to across the business
  • Provide correct and timely advise on health & safety legislation and practical implications
  • Assist with risk assessments, new project/site health and safety folder packs
  • Carry out regular site inspections, reviewing risk assessments and enforcing site rules and control measures at all times
  • Actively identify areas for improvement and work with line managers to minimise risk
  • Find innovative ways to implement and communicate health & safety risk control measures
  • To act as the responsible person for the office and workshop on health & safety matters
  • Support with health & safety meetings to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide a high level of service and professionalism at all times
  • Participate in new starter inductions, carry out training sessions/safety briefings and maintain the health & safety training matrix
  • Assist with the investigation of accident and incidents, and ensuring actions are implemented
  • Maintain health & safety records and ensure legal checks are carried out
  • Organise and order PPE and other health & safety resources
  • Any other ad hoc health and safety duties as required
As part of a small team, a can do / hands on approach is key.

A full UK driving license is also essential as there will be a requirement for travel across the UK to various sites.

Occasional overnight stays may also be necessary.


In return, you will receive competitive rates of pay, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with time during working hours to attend the gym and bonus scheme.

£25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
