Hours of work: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday

Thursday / 08:00 15:30 Friday

Rate of pay:
£12 - £14.50 Per hour

Wentworth James are currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Centre Lathe Machinist on behalf of a privately owned family run steel stockholder & distributor of Carbon and Stainless-Steel flanges and fittings.

As a Centre Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting manual lathes for the machining of Carbon & Stainless-Steel flanges.

Duties:

Setting and operating Manual Centre Lathes
Machining carbon & stainlesssteel flanges
Working to tolerances up to +/ 1mm.
Face, edge and boring of profiled carbon steel blanks.
Set and operate with minimum of supervision
Setting and operating a range of radial drills from 3 ́ to 10 ́ capacity
Setting of Pitch Circle Diameters (PCD), for flange drilling, using a rotary table.
Centre Lathe Turning experience essential
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
