Hours of work: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday
  • Thursday / 08:00 15:30 Friday

Rate of pay:
£12 - £14.50 Per hour


Wentworth James are currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Centre Lathe Machinist on behalf of a privately owned family run steel stockholder & distributor of Carbon and Stainless-Steel flanges and fittings.

As a Centre Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting manual lathes for the machining of Carbon & Stainless-Steel flanges.


Duties:


  • Setting and operating Manual Centre Lathes
  • Machining carbon & stainlesssteel flanges
  • Working to tolerances up to +/ 1mm.
  • Face, edge and boring of profiled carbon steel blanks.
  • Set and operate with minimum of supervision
  • Setting and operating a range of radial drills from 3 ́ to 10 ́ capacity
  • Setting of Pitch Circle Diameters (PCD), for flange drilling, using a rotary table.
  • Centre Lathe Turning experience essential
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- excellent attention to detail and precision.

  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Hours of work & Rate of pay

  • Hours of work 08:00 16:30 Monday
  • Thursday / 08:00 15:30 Friday
  • Rate of pay: £ £14.50 Per hour

Job Types:

Salary:
£12.00-£14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
