About us:
We are a small South Devon accounting practice located in the seaside town of Paignton. You will be joining the business at a very exciting time as we continue to grow our practice. We are passionate about our local economy and small local businesses. We work closely with our clients and build fantastic relationships, helping our client achieve success in their financial goals. We have a mixed client base of individuals, landlords, sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and non-for-profit organisations.
What we are looking for:
A part time bookkeeper and finance administrator, with practical skills gained from previous employment in a similar role.
Qualifications required:
Essential:
- GCSE (or equivalent) including Maths and English, Grade C or above or 94
Desired:
- AAT level 2 or above
Experience Required:
Essential:
- Experience in bookkeeping, selfassessment, and finance administration
- Experience using Xero or other cloudbased accounting software
- A general IT competence and good working knowledge of Excel
Desired:
- 1 years' experience in an accounting practice or similar
Job description:
In addition to your core activities, you will be encouraged to improve, automate, standardise, and document processes to gain efficiency as the business grows.
You will need to ensure the integrity of accounting information by following internal processes and procedures closely and by using effective communication skills within the team.
This is an office based role.What's on Offer:
Salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications and would be reviewed in line with progression.
The position is initially part time, 2-3 days per week (including Tuesday and Thursday), with the potential for overtime and increasing to full time hours in the future if desired.
We would consider supporting ongoing studying and training to facilitate your career progression within our growing practice.We would consider hybrid remote working once the appropriate level of experience, competence and self-discipline is gained.
