Description

General Operative required for a busy steel yard Located at Shoreham Port
The role can be physically demanding with time spent out in all weathers.

Previous experience of working outside, with heavy plant would be advantageous.


Working Hours.
Monday - Friday with weekend working when required to meet customer demand.


Flexibility is key due to the nature of the business, with some long days required at short notice from on occasions.


Key Duties:


  • Ensure all Health and Safety legislation requirements are met and followed.
  • All duties are carried out in a safe, efficient, and professional manner whilst
working in a small team.

  • Keeping the site clean and tidy.
Moving stock, and assisting in the loading of HGVs

  • Ability to identify potential risks and hazards, and be aware of the surrounding
environment.

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (appropriate PPE will be provided)
£ 12.00 ph rising to £13.00ph on completion of successful requested training.


Schedule:

hour shift ( Additional hours may be required at short notice )

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability when required.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 weeks

£12.00 per hour
