Job description:


  • I am a friendly and lively young man with Down Syndrome, who is seeking a PA to take me out for social and leisure activities, such as picnics in the park, trips to the cinema, nature walks and trips into the city.
  • I require someone who can work 6 hours every other weekend. The day and time of which is negotiable at interview, however 10am
  • 4pm would be ideal.

Person specification:


Essential:


  • Friendly, caring and patient
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Someone who is firm and consistent with boundaries
  • Someone who is dog friendly

Desirable:


  • Full UK driving licence and own car with appropriate level of business insurance
  • Knowledge of basic sign language
  • Willing to take up training as required

Summary terms and conditions:


  • The rate of pay for this position is £1
  • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role
  • Hours and days of work: 6 hours every other weekend. Preferably 10am
  • 4pm
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
  • A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
  • Completion of a satisfactory threemonth probationary period
