Wodd is recruiting for a Senior QA/QC adviser for one of our client sites to ensure that the Wood site delivers a quality service that achieves the requirements of the client and complies with requirements.

Provide support to ensure that site quality activities are completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.

Assists in the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and reporting on the status of site quality management systems and activities, so that resulting actions are delivered effectively, and business risks are mitigated or prevented.

To oversee site inspection ensuring completions are completed in accordance to approved client work packs.

  • Promote, review and challenge working practices and methods to enhance performance.
  • Implementation of site Quality Management System requirements as directed by Site Manager.
  • Implements and reports on internal/ external riskbased audit programme.
  • Effectively use ATRAC database to record nonconformities and improvement actions.
  • Assist Wood Quality Manager with quality investigations when required.
  • Provides input to and participates as required in quality management reporting and reviews.
  • Act as Wood responsible welding coordinator under the auspices of BS EN ISO 383
  • Attend kick off/ bid submission meetings as required to provide quality support and advice according to QA/QC deliverables.
  • Review of all job cards prior to site activity commencing to ensure client specification and/or international code requirements are captured within the scope of work and communicated effectively.
  • Provide Quality advice where applied coatings and insulated systems are below acceptable standards.
  • Develop Inspection Test Plans, implement and monitor inspection activities.
  • Provide a quality check on work carried out against work pack content (e.g. job card completion, completions and as built documentations)
  • Create weld numbering systems for work scopes and produce weld maps for inclusion in MRB.
  • Ensuring the business has suitably qualified welders to carry out specific work scopes.
  • Maintain welder qualifications records and welder qualification matrix
  • Verification that appropriate approvals are in place prior to commencement of specific works (e.g. weld procedures are approved, welder certification, etc.).
  • Review and endorsement of quality records raised as an output from site processes.
  • Generation of quality documentation.
  • Generation of inspection and progress reports as required.
  • Oversee final inspection release of completed site fabrications
  • Mentor and develop quality resources.

Qualifications:


  • Diploma (or local equivalent) in quality or related discipline (desirable)
  • Membership of CQI, ASQ or other country equivalent (desirable)
  • Technically Qualified/Time served trades person. (desirable)
  • Welding Inspection certificate from a recognised industry or national body i.e CSWIP 3.1 minimum (essential)
  • Quality auditor qualification by recognised industry body (desirable)

Knowledge, skills and experience:


  • Relevant experience (Preferably in the associated industry)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
