Would you like to be part of a Charity that helps local people with the issues they face?

We are looking for an Advice Supervisor to join our friendly team of paid staff and our team of volunteers.
We are looking for a part time Advice Supervisor to join our teams in Didcot and Abingdon.

Hours up to 28 per week, we can be flexible regarding this role, it could be 1 role or 2.

As
an Advice Supervisor you will be responsible for managing an advice session, overseeing a team of volunteers


The role will include:
- manage the practicalities of the advice session, working with the Advice Service Manager (ASM) to ensure adequate staffing and resourcing.
- provide technical support and act as a consultant to advisers.
- monitor the quality of advice given to clients through case review.

  • Review quality of work from case records.
- keep technical knowledge up to date and provide appropriate level of support and supervision to individual workers depending on their level of competence.

Oxfordshire South & Vale is an independent local charity operating within the Citizens Advice Network.

We provide the Citizens Advice service from our 4 main locations in South Oxfordshire and Vale of the White Horse (Abingdon, Didcot, Henley, and Thame).

Last year, we advised over 11,000 South Oxfordshire and Vale residents in face-to-face meetings or by phone. Our 123 skilled advisers work from 4 local Advice Centres and are supported by 28 part time paid staff.
