Description

Andros is an industrial, family-owned company based in south west France with a turnover of over 2 billion Euros.

It is a leading European fruit transformation and chilled dairy producer manufacturing the internationally famous brand Bonne Maman, as well as many private label products.

We have an opportunity for a Cold Store Operator on a rotational shift pattern 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm & 10pm to 6am.

The shift pattern is over 5 weeks with 1 x night shift, 2 x afternoon shifts & 2 x early shifts.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Ensure all products / pallets are removed from the windtunnel on completion of cooling cycle and try to keep a good product flow to avoid build up at production end of windtunnel.
Ensure all pallets removed from the windtunnel are then wrapped correctly on the machine film wrapper and booked into stock using either the hand held barcode scanner or input manually into the AS400 system.
Allocate pallets to loads as per the general procedure for when product can be dispatched.
Line up loads ready and mark / label with load number then scan pallets to load when delivery time confirmed.
Load incoming collection vehicles as soon as possible after arrival if vehicle arrives at specified time.
Unload incoming deliveries (frozen fruit, fruit prep containers, chocolate curls etc), check against paperwork, sign off and return to driver once unloaded.

Background & Skills
Working knowledge of all departmental equipment

Numerate and computer literate

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Able to work unsupervised and using own initiative

Ability to work to strict procedure

Trained to operate a forklift truck and ride-on truck
