Description
The role operates on a Monday to Friday variable shift roster, however, you should be flexible to adjust these hours to fit in with any planned operational changes that may occur.
The role also has an on call duty.The Main duties of Ramp Supervisor will be.
- Responsibility for the safe and efficient management of all Ramp staff and Engineering Support whilst on duty.
- Ensures all aircraft, baggage/freight handling movements are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with CAA and customer requirements.
- Liaise closely with flight operations on all aspects of daytoday flying operations e.g., problems, delays, schedules.
- Ensures all freight activities are carried out on behalf of customers, are done so in compliance with customer operations procedures and contractual commitments.
- Carries out training of staff, contractors and agency staff and 3rd party training and compliance assessments as requested by Airside Compliance Manager.
- Deputises for Airside Compliance Manager as requested.
- Responsible for effectively resolving unexpected operational problems in Ramp area.
- Liaises with Dispatch Department regarding operational problems impacting on flight schedule.
- Participates in any external/internal audits which may be conducted.
- Assists in management of any emergency witch may arise.
- Demonstrates regular communication initiatives within Ramp Deparment to advise of matters.
- Undertakes special projects and fulfils other duties reasonably requested by Company.
- Approx 5 years' experience working in Aviation ground operations ramp.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in an aviation environment.
- Knowledge of ground aviation regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience with shift rosters (writing)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A valid clean driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and hold or have held an Airport ID

From £24,000.00 per year
