My client is a rapidly growing IT Managed Service Provider, with a 20-year pedigree of supporting a range of organisations with their IT estates.

They are recruiting for a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join their team and who will be responsible fordelivering a first-class support service to their clients.


The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1st & 2nd line helpdesk support
  • Acting primarily support capacity, resolving issues predominantly over the phone or via remote connectivity or, occasionally, visiting client sites
  • Take ownership of support issues and seek closure ensuring all relevant support procedures are followed
  • Deliver great customer service operating within clientspecific SLAs
  • Support the rollout of new software solutions across their client base
  • Create written documentation

The Person
With proven experience in a similar IT support role you will have:

  • Previous IT support experience
  • Ability to support nontechnical customers and explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
  • Knowledge of Active Directory including administering user accounts and permissions
  • Experience in supporting Windows and Exchange Server / Exchange Online
  • Customerfocused mentality
  • Willingness to develop your skills to resolve both 2nd and 3rd Line support issues as part of your career progression
  • A strong technical understanding including:
  • Windows 10/11, TCP/IP, VPN's
