Opportunity for a production operator to join a global manufacturing company that has been in South Wales for over 40 years. You will earn a salary of £23,250 for working days Monday to Friday, with an early finish on a Friday. There is also an excellentbenefits package on offer including a generous company pension contribution, potential bonus, etc.

You will work with power press equipment working from technical drawings to ensure that metal components and parts are manufactured to the required sizes and quality standards.

As the production operator, your duties will include:

Setting up and operating production equipment
Achieving daily production targets
Adhering to all EHS and quality requirements
Supporting productivity and quality improvements
Completing required documentation
Following standard operating procedures
Reading technical drawings
Completing quality checks in line with business requirements using equipment such as verniers / micrometers / etc.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a metalbased manufacturing environment working with presses is desirable.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools such as 5S is desirable.
Experience in using measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, etc. is desirable

In return, the health & safety advisor will receive a salary of £23,250 + generous pension (up to 10% company contribution), 24 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days plus bank holidays over time), a potential bonus (based on attendance),etc.
The hours of work are 7:45am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:45pm-1:30pm on a Friday
