About the Role:


We have a vacancy for a part-time Study Programme Sports Tutor to join our Leeds team to work 24 hours per week, term-time only, in our Farsley centre.


The role is based at our partnership premises based at the Farsley Celtic Football Academy, teaching the NCFE Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity.


You will be responsible for managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities for groups of learners from initial interview and assessment through to successful completion of course and accreditation.


Our Study Programme Tutors deliver learning opportunities that are practical in nature, develop employability and social skills and enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications as well as qualifications in English and maths up to GCSE level.

We achieve this by providing our learners with learning opportunities that aspire to outstanding and adhere to those standards within the common inspection framework.


About You:


This role would perfectly suit someone who has experience of working with young people or who is looking to share their knowledge and experiences with the next generation in order to support them to achieve their life goals.


Ideally possessing teaching and assessing qualifications and have a background in sport, you must be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

A strong sense of purpose and a passion for teaching and training is a must, along with the ability to use your initiative and work to set deadlines.


You will be able to:

  • Plan and deliver diverse and innovative teaching, learning and assessment opportunities to achieve the highest academic standards and learning opportunities for learners.
  • Provide pastoral and tutorial support within the framework of support designed by the organisation to support individual learner support, progress and achievement.

You will also have:

  • PGCE/Certificate in Education or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
  • Qualified to a minimum level 3 in Sport and Physical Activity
