About the team


Gloucestershire County Council is looking to recruit a Transport Review Officer to oversee the council's portfolio of public transport contracts.

You will be joining a committed and dynamic team taking responsibility for the day-to-day liaison with bus operators.


About the role

This role will offer you the opportunity to operate in a varied and fast paced environment, you will use your existing knowledge and experience to advise and support the Senior Passenger Transport Officer and Transport Operations Manager in maintaining a sustainable public transport network.

You will act as the intermediary between highways colleagues and bus operators in relation to roadworks and diversions.

The role will also pay an essential part in the council's targets to reduce congestion and reduce carbon emissions by encouraging the use of public and shared transport as well as walking and cycling.


About you:


As the Transport Review Officer you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships and provide valuable advice to both internal and external stakeholders, bodies and companies.


As part of a forward thinking team you will be expected to challenge working practices and suggest and implement new and improved ways of working.

A strong understanding of the regulations and law relating to the operation of public transport services would be beneficial.


To be considered for this role, it is essential that you hold a current, full driving license valid for driving in the UK.

You will have proven experience in stakeholder engagement and a successful track record in delivery of time critical projects.
