AVPlacements are looking for skilled Aircraft Mechanics and Fitters for a fantastic opportunity ongoing in the Cambridge shire region.

Shifts: 4 on 3 off

Job Summary:


As a Skilled Aircraft Mechanic/Fitter reporting to our client, you will be involved in working on aircraft main and sub-assemblies from detail parts, whilst embracing appropriate assembly techniques, tools and fixtures, in accordance with the appropriate technical data and competencies.


Responsibilities:


  • Adhering to full compliance of the work instructions and/or standard operating procedures; without compromise to their own and colleagues safety
  • Exemplifying a safetyfirst mindset and follow all the clients Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards
  • Actively identify safety concerns; making problems immediately known to their Team Leader and raise improvement ideas to solve problems utilising Kaizen policy.
  • Being an active member of the team, promoting collective engagement with each other.

Help the client make a difference, you'll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Mechanic / Fitter experience in Commercial or Military background is preferable
  • Proven ability to read and understand drawings, processes and procedures
  • Adherence to all necessary regulatory quality standards and customer specifications
  • Demonstrable experience in the aircraft manufacturing industry fitting; using both metal and composite materials.
  • Ability to work as part of a small, close team
  • Effective communication

Job Types:

From £21.00 per hour

Experience:


  • Military or Commercial Aircraft Mechanic or Fitter: 2 years (required)
  • Expeirence of Line or Base Maintenance or Workshops: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)

  • United Kingdom (required)
