Description
If so, we want to hear from you.

We're looking for an Organisational Development Inclusion Partner to join our HR team and help us deliver our representation and inclusion goals.

Our business is built on connecting stories and ideas with the widest possible readership.

To achieve this, we need to represent the rich diversity of our society - both in who publish and who we employ.

Each book, each colleague and each voice are critical in helping us become a more inclusive employer and publisher.

You don't need to have set foot in a publisher's before though to help us achieve this goal, we're after fresh perspectives.

What's most important is your interest and knowledge in diversity and inclusion, and your experience of creating change.

The role

You'll play a key role in driving forward our goals, leading on a broad range of activities, determined by our evolving Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy.

Key areas of focus that you'll lead on as we look forward include:

  • Penguin's annual inclusivity survey: including the design and delivery, supporting the analysis and reporting, and using the insights to inform action and next steps.
  • Disability inclusion: moving forward our company action plan to support colleagues with disabilities and longterm conditions.
  • Socioeconomic inclusion: developing plans to address the underrepresentation, and retention of, colleagues from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
You'll also support the wider HR team with inclusion-related activities and partner with Social Impact on shared initiatives.

What you'll bring

  • Proven knowledge, interest and track record in delivering effective inclusion & diversity initiatives, demonstrating your ability to deliver tangible change in this space.
  • Demonstrable skill to quickly build rapport and inspire trust and confidence with a wide range of stakeholders, across levels and teams.
  • Welldeveloped organisational and project management skills, able to take plans from concept through to execution.
  • Experience of survey design and reporting, working with results and data to draw insights.
  • Creative and analytical thinking, navigating complexity and ambiguity, to translate ideas into action.
  • Ability to think both big and small, looking up and ahead whilst paying attention to the detail.
  • Proactivity and adaptability.

What's in it for you?

You'll work with a focused and ambitious HR team, who strive to keep things human and to do things differently.

There'll be the opportunity to learn, innovate, inspire change and shape our diversity and inclusion strategy.
