About the role:
Commercial & Regulatory Lead - Warwick, London (hybrid working)
Strategic Infrastructure is a part of National Grid Electricity Transmission and is responsible for delivering 17 major new projects to connect more clean, low-carbon power to the transmission network in England and Wales.
These projects play a vital part in achieving the UK Government's ambition of connecting 50GW of offshore wind by 2030.
Working with the Commercial strategy and the regulations strategy teams, you will develop an understanding of the ASTI framework and translate objectives into actions and drive compliance.
What you'll be getting up to:
Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop the contracting strategy for offshore projects.
Then providing other stakeholders, such as the project teams or our partners, the information they need to implement this strategy.
Monitoring and tracking risks across projects.
Assuring the commercial strategy is applied consistently across projects.
Acting as the first point of contact for delivery commercial teams and provide advice as and when required.
Coaching and developing colleagues in your area of expertise.

About you:
You are a pro-active problem solver who can take vague problems and work independently or in a team to find effective solutions.
You will have a background in a highly regulated an relevant industry such as energy, construction or infrastructure.
An understanding of the regulatory environment that National Grid operates in would be desirable, as would a good understanding of procurement, commercial value, contractual processes, project management, and analysing and identifying sources of risk.
