We are looking for an experienced Driver to transporting goods and equipment between locations; locally and nationally.

You will have a can do attitude and be responsible for looking after plant in the Yard and some general yard maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhering to law and regulations.
Adhering to EU driver hours regulations and WTD legislation.
Driving in a courteous manner.
Delivering items on time and in full.
Operating commercial vehicles up to and over 7.5 tonnes, including rigid trucks, articulated lorries, low loaders.
Driving long or short distances.
Planning delivery schedules and routes with line manager.
Supervising or helping to load and unload goods.
Lifting and carrying goods an equipment.
Making sure loads are safely secured.
Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary.
Completing delivery paperwork.
Keeping uptodate logbooks.
Carrying out basic routine maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks, keep vehicle clean/roadworthy and cleaning tractor unit trailer once a week.
Be flexible to carry out other duties as required.
Reporting defects to line manager and ensuring defects are closed out prior to driving.

Good geographical knowledge
Relevant training/skill to the operation you are employed for
To have a clear understanding of the Company's Health & Safety policies and procedures and assist towards ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
Customer service and administration skills
Be thorough and pay attention to detail
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Able to operate and control equipment.

Clean Licence, C1
