Data Engineer

Our client is a leading name in cyber defence, aiding Governments, Nations and Societies to defend themselves from an ever-evolving world of cybercrime.

They are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join a new high performance engineering team in designing,delivering and maintaining solutions for key clients in Central Government.

Responsibilities
If successful, the Data Engineer will be responsible for the following:

Model data requirements, data sources and data flows to bring order and structure to programmes of work
Define metadata to provide searchability and governance for unstructured data.

Requirements:

An ideal Data Engineer would have the following qualities:

Experience in using Data Engineering tools and technology ETL tools including Python and a number of the Big Data Applications.
Knowledge of Open Source software for Data Engineering
