We are currently recruiting to a Facilities Service Assistant position, which will be based at Frome Community Hospital.


This role includes the following duties: mainly portering, cleaning and occasional catering.

We have 1 vacancy available

  • 1 x 31 hours per week.
Please note you may be asked to cover another site on occasion.

The main duties of the role will include the following:


Portering:


Removal of waste, movement of supplies, acceptance of deliveries, ordering of laundry, changing of gases, general assistance with movement of beds/furniture within all departments.


Cleaning:

Cleaning departments within the Hospital such as inpatients, outpatients, X-Ray, toilets, meeting rooms & offices.


Catering:

Prepare patient meals using a cook freeze service. Cleaning duties within the main kitchen.

  • To work under guidance from the Facilities Team leader, Facilities Housekeeper and Facilities Head of Catering where applicable.
  • The post holder will be required to report faults and defects.
  • Completion of all mandatory training required within the job role, such as COSHH, safe use of equipment, moving and handling, food hygiene etc.
  • Have a basic understanding of IT.
  • Completion of all Trust required monitoring sheets and documentation.
