1. *Medication Dispensing:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Label and package medications according to established protocols and legal requirements.
2. *Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, assisting with over-the-counter medication recommendations, and resolving customer concerns.
- Offer information on common drug interactions, side effects, and proper medication use.
3. *Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory control, including stock rotation, restocking shelves, and conducting regular inventory checks.
- Communicate with suppliers and assist in placing orders for medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
4. *Data Entry:
- Accurately enter and update patient information, prescriptions, and other relevant data into the pharmacy management system.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
5. *Medication Packaging:
- Prepare unit dose packaging and blister packs for patients with chronic conditions, as directed by pharmacists.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of packaged medications.
6. *Assist in Compounding:
- Support pharmacists in compounding medications when necessary, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the compounding area.
7. *Pharmacy Administration:
- Assist with administrative tasks, including answering phones, managing appointments, and handling prescription transfers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
8. *Quality Control:
- Participate in quality assurance activities, such as conducting regular checks on dispensed medications for accuracy and completeness.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervising pharmacist.
9. *Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
- Stay informed about changes in pharmaceutical regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
