HR Employee Relations Advisor (Fixed-
Term Contract: 12 Months)
What to Expect:
As an HR Employee Relations Advisor on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, you will play a critical role in managing complex employee relations (ER) issues using your expertise in ER and employment law.
This role involves providing remote support to customers across the UK and Europe, focusing on delivering a positive, supportive, and professional experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively utilize the case management system to handle and update multiple complex cases from start to finish.
- Deliver a highquality service remotely, fostering positive interactions with customers through professionalism, approachability, and empathy.
- Gain exposure to various contracts spanning multiple sectors, both in the public and private domains.
- Collaborate as part of the HR Shared Service team, known as People Support, which emphasizes customer service.
- Act as an advocate for the People Support team, representing Mitie's central HR function.
- Collaborate with experts in Legal, Early Conciliation, ET claims, and Occupational Health teams.
- Evaluate ER policies and processes, recommending improvements and driving enhanced services, policies, and procedures.
- Develop relationships with the broader HR team and escalate significant concerns within their respective business areas.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, Employee Relations Managers, and the Head of ER, for the referral of highrisk ER cases.
What We Are Looking For:
- Essential: Thorough understanding and experience in Employee Relations.
- Desirable: CIPD qualification.
- Preferred: Experience in a shared service center environment.
- Proficiency in IT tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with HR systems is advantageous.
- Uptodate working knowledge of current employment law.
- Previous HR advisory experience, grounded in theory and best practices.
- Experience in a unionized environment is preferable.
- Strong sense of confidentiality and respect for sensitive information.
