We are looking for a Lead Security Architect to lead a small team of security architects to create and design security for our cloud architecture and physical technology platforms globally.

A lead security architect undertakes complex work of a high risk level, often working on several projects.


You have to think like a hacker and find loopholes or weaknesses in IT system that can put the entire network in jeopardy.

Accountabilities

  • Reach and influence a wide range of people across larger teams and communities
  • Develop vision, principles and strategy for security architects for one project or technology
  • Work out subtle security needs
  • Understand the impact of decisions, balancing requirements and deciding between approaches
  • Be the point of escalation for architects in lower grade roles
  • Lead the technical design of systems and services
  • Researching and implementing the updated security standards, systems, and best practices

The role holder is expected to:

  • Provide clear leadership, direction, and advocacy security across the Lloyds IT estate.
  • Drive and foster a culture of security being integrated into best practices and governance.
  • In line with the Architecture Team, manage and enhance the operating rhythm/relationships end to end between the cross functional architecture teams and key business stakeholders to ensure the right security solutions are fit for purpose in line with thestrategic view.
  • Lead and manage a small team of security Architects

Skills:


  • Analysis. You can monitor the analysis of a technical solution and ensure analysis is reused for similar problem sets. You can review solutions and identify areas for change. You can drive the collection of information that is used and analysed. You canfeed back on policy and requirements.
  • Designing secure systems. You can design and review system architectures through the development of patterns and principles.
  • Research and innovation. You can contribute to and inform developments on security properties in technology. You can identify new technologies and design the use of these in the business context across the organisation. You can engage with the broader securitycommunity.
  • Security technology. You can demonstrate strong expert knowledge of system architectures. You can understand and articulate the impact of vulnerabilities on existing and future designs and systems, and how easy or difficult it will be to exploit these vulnerabilities.
You can be recognized as an expert by peers in the broader security industry.
