We are looking for a Medical Staffing Assistant to support the Cancer Business Unit at Royal Derby Hospital.

This role will provide full administrative support to the Medical Staffing Administrator.

Experience within a busy admin role is essential, with the ability to multi-task. You will be required to review rotas, arrange clinic cover, on call cover and perform adhoc tasks.


You will be reliable, proactive and highly motivated and will possess exceptional organisational skills, being confident at working with senior colleagues in a busy environment.


Main duties of the job include:

  • Liaising with consultants and clinical staff
  • Creating and managing clinical rotas
  • Update health roster and rotawatch accordingly
  • Reviewing annual/study leave requests
  • Processing overtime payment request
  • Organise and present at junior doctor inductions
