We launched in 2021 on the back of a fund raise that delivered $500m of investment, making us one the largest fintech start-ups that year.

Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. We have written over $400m worth of premium in 2021. There are hardly any industries left that are mainly paper based, but the specialty insurance market is one.

Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers place risk in a fast and frictionless way.

We're continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities.

What you will be working on

You'll join us as a Staff Algorithmic Pricing Actuary within our Algorithmic Underwriting team, which sits at the intersection of underwriting and algorithm development, ensuring that the development, calibration and monitoring of our actuarial pricing models, meets commercial and regulatory requirements, whilst effectively serving our end users at the point of quote (brokers).

In this role you'll bring your commercial experience of working within the insurance market and working with individual squads to support in providing SME input as to the prioritisation process, whilst ensuring business objectives are met.

Our squads focus on delivering high-impact features and we favour a highly iterative, analytical approach. We invest time in research and development, internally and with academic institutions and if you are looking for an opportunity where you can be curious and bring fresh ideas to the table, then this could be the role for you
