About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit (EPCTU) at the Churchill Hospital. The unit is a 15-bed facility embedded within Cancer and Haematology Centre at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford. The unit recruits approximately 150 patients each year onto Early Phase (phase I/II) oncology and haematology trials.
You will play an important role working as part of the nursing and clinical team.
Responsibilities include coordination and conducting patient tests and visits as per the clinical trial protocol, taking informed consent, collection and preparation of biological samples, collection and entry of trial data in compliance with ICH GCP.
You will develop specialist skills and knowledge relating to the conduct of specified clinical trial protocols, working with senior research staff to ensure the effective delivery of a high standard of care for trial patients.
About you
You will be educated to A level standard, have strong communication (written and verbal English) skills, and be a good team player, who works well on own initiative but also seeks guidance and follows instructions comfortably.
You will possess advanced office and IT skills for document management, information processing and communication, plus accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
This is a full-time position, offered on a 1 year fixed term contract.
