Description
We are seeking a Supervisor to support our Donation Centre Manager in the smooth running of the Donation Centre.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and warehouse and transportation experience.


Key responsibilities

  • To sort, prepare and allocate donated goods for the distribution to the Hospice shops and Ecommerce platforms in line with the expected procedures and standards
  • To support the Donation Centre Manager is the smooth running of our logistics, including drivers, Vans, events and popup shops/donation points
  • To support the Donation Centre Manager in the daily operation of the Donation Centre to meet the business needs, efficiently and smoothly
  • To deputise for the Donation Centre Manager ensuring the smooth running of the Donation Centre operation is upheld in their absence in line with expected standards
  • To assist the Donation Centre Manager in the effective management and distribution of all boughtingoods

Skills & knowledge

  • Experience of warehousing and transportation
  • Experience of working in a retail business, ideally within the charity sector is desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrates a 'can do' approach to their work
  • Positive communication skills and the ability to adapt to different situations
  • Proven background in team and KPI management
  • A strong team player

Good communication, customer service and admin skills are required. Experience of working in a retail business is desirable.

This is a full time position working 5 days a week over 7 days, including weekends.

  • Successful applicants will be required to undertake a DBS check (Formally known as CRB)_

Salary:
£22,000.00 per year
