Prospero Health and Social are looking to recruit Support Workers in the Sheffield Area
You will be required to support Children, Young Adults and adults with a diverse range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and complex challenging behaviour.
You will find yourself working in a variety of settings, includingtheir own home, health and social care settings, Residential homes and out in the community.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Looking after and taking care of the individuals needs
- Assisting with the completion of care plans, risk assessments, reviews, incident & accidents reporting.
- Providing physical and emotional support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
- Manage the wellbeing and behaviour's ensuring significant behavioural or physical occurrences are addressed and managed accordingly
- Look out for any changes in behaviour
- Dealing with a range of mental health issues and supporting the child to provide support and help at all times.
- Building a relationship with the individual, care provider and families
- Support routines, from waking up + being in the house routine to activities outside.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, family and external healthcare professionals and adhere to company policies and procedures
What you require:
- 6 Months work experience in the UK
(MUST HAVE): - 3 years of references without gaps
(MUST HAVE): - The ability to adapt and act accordingly to situations.
- A high level of patience and emotional resilience.
- A nonjudgmental attitude regardless of a person's needs.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging situations.
- Experience of working with children in the past in a similar setting.
- DBS check on the update service and all required checks as well as clean criminal record.
- An over sea's police check if required
- Preferable but not essential to be able to drive as locations can be spread out.
