About the role

At our state-of-the art clothing centre (ACC), we can either embroider or heat seal corporate identity onto a wide range of clothing.

We supply some of the UK's best-known brands with corporate decorated clothing.

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Operative to join our nights team to manage and lead a team to achieve laid down objectives and have responsibility of supervision, workload, holiday and absence management.

Key responsibilities include:

Proactively supporting the delivery of the quality accuracy of work produced by the team to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Producing the daily resource plans and utilising resource effecitvely
Coaching and developing team members skills and understanding of the operating procedure to ensure compliance
Communicating with team on a group and individual level to provide information, support and guidance
Analysing and resolving standard operational problems, and work with the team leader on more complex or long term issues
Carrying out informal performance reviews and return to work interviews
Supporting the team leader with continuous improvement projects
Contributing to making Arco a great place to work by demonstrating consistency, fairness and promoting a positve culture

About you

The ideal Senior Operative will be/have:

Basic IT skills and a good level of literacy and numeracy
Previous warehouse/production experience with some management experience
A good working knowledge of Health & Safety in a warehouse environment
The desire to achieve departmental goals and look for continuous improvement
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Excellent organistation skills with the ability to prioritise own and others workloads
Good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
