Shift Patter:
Mon -Thurs 6.45am to 2.45pm - Fri 6.45am 1.45pm

Mon -Thurs 14.30pm to 22.30pm - Fri 13.30pm to 20.30pm


The Role
To undertake manufacturing activities as designated by line management, including co-ordinating all associated operations and personnel as instructed.


Key Duties

  • To operate in a safe manner, being aware of your own safety and the safety of others.
  • To comply with instructions as issued in the health and safety, fire and quality procedures.
  • To help ensure that all physical areas of responsibility and machines are safe for personnel and that correct standards of safety, quality, housekeeping and hygiene are communicated and maintained.
  • To check (by personal inspection and from production data) that all products are produced within the defined limits of quality, quantity and efficiency.
  • To ensure that all line documentation and sampling systems are being completed correctly.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that good manufacturing practices are observed at all times.
  • To be responsible for the timely completion of product changeovers and line component clean down operations.
  • To advise your line management or the Engineering department of any issues concerning the general performance, maintenance or accuracy or speed of filling of a machine.
  • To ensure to the best of your ability that production lines operated start and finish at the correct times.
  • To ensure that the operated production line is running at the speed as defined by the daily production plan, and to immediately report any problem that prevents this.
  • Carry out basic machine maintenance tasks as instructed by the Production Supervisor or Engineering department.
  • To monitor and reduce wastage, rejects, stock discrepancies, and to be responsible for the reconciliation yields.
  • To advise line management of any concerns relating to the performance and behaviour of any agency personnel working on the line, e.g. poor timekeeping or work performance.
  • To receive and give new and refresher training activities as required.
  • To liaise effectively with all other team members within the company.
  • To carry out any ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by line management, Engineering Manager or Production Manager

Experience and Qualifications

Essential:


  • Highly literate. Good level of conversational and written English.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Experience operating and changing over production machinery.

Preferred:


  • GMP/FMCG experience.
  • Experience in similar production environment (pharmaceutical/food manufacture etc.).
  • Knowledge of working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience of PTK tablet presses.
  • Experience of Siebler/Romaco packing lines.
  • Experience of completing traceability paperwork. Packing or assembling in a fastmoving environment.
