We have a current requirement for a Senior HR Advisor to join our Human resources team based in the Glasgow office on a hybrid working basis for a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

The Senior HR advisor will work closely with the Head of HR and the HR Team to provide advice, guidance and coaching on HR policies and procedures and deliver an effective, efficient, and professional Human Resource Service.


As an HR Advisor you will build strong working relationships will be key to lead and supporting change and working in partnership with employees, line managers and senior leaders to offer creative and pragmatic solutions across the business.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Head of Human Resources the senior advisor will assist the HR team building a culture of continuous improvement to increase organisational effectiveness.
  • Effectively deliver a generalist Human Resource service to all employees.
  • Partner with senior management of the business streams to understand organisational priorities and support the roll out of the people agenda.
  • Understand culture, competencies, skills and performance needed in the organisation to deliver HR support effectively.
  • Partner with managers to identify team and individual capability levels and gaps affecting performance, as well as coach managers on conversations about strengths, limitations, development needs and career aspirations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and process through appropriate advice, guidance and support for business need and work closely with the Head of HR to deliver best practice.
  • Deliver, coach and train managers, new starters and transitioning employees in HR processes.
  • Provide support and guidance for line management and employees on HR issues including employment legislation.
  • Maintain an uptodate knowledge of employment law changes initiates and leads change where necessary.
  • Work with the Head of HR to identify and facilitate development opportunities within the HR team.
  • Take the lead on HR projects and initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with annual legal reporting requirements where appropriate (i.e Gender Pay Gap).
  • Have a comprehensive understanding and previous experience of TUPE.
  • Review and evaluate current ways of working and recommend best practice.
  • Produce timely, accurate and meaningful HR metrics.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
Up to £40,000.00 per year
