About this role

Key Responsibilities


To ensure all of our Residents, Guests and Contractors, receive exceptional Customer Service and Care, consistently presenting a professional and courteous approach, as a face of the business.

Completing all shift procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Checking all Plant Room Equipment is in good working order
  • Ensuring Fire Exits are Closed and Free of Obstacles
  • Checking the Fire Panels and Emergency Lighting Battery Panels for faults
  • Ensuring all storage rooms, risers, plant rooms and the cleaning cupboards are all locked and secure.
  • Ensuring the Bin Stores are Tidy and Empty Bins are moved to the Front
  • Check all doors to the buildings are secure, and clear litter from around the perimeter of the building and common outside areas.
  • Complete any maintenance jobs as given by the Assistant Manager.
  • Complete Weekly Checks
  • Complete Monthly Calorifier Temperature Check
  • Supervise all service contractors during their maintenance visits and call outs; ensuring c
    ontractor activity is conducted safely and in line with our policies/service agreements.
  • Actively participating in ensuring the company meets all of its business KPI's
  • Be vigilant and aware regarding all Health & Safety issues.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure excellent communication amongst all areas; be proactive and willing to assist other departments when the business requires.
  • Have a desire and ability to improve your own knowledge and abilities through ongoing training, and undertake all mandatory online trainings as required (e.g. fire aid, health and safety, GDPR)
  • Work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries


Please note that due to the nature of the business and this specific role there are a large number of ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year - the JD is not exhaustive.


The nature of the role means that you may be required to work outside of your hours (move in weekends, summer etc).

Travel may be required.

Skills/Ability/Knowledge:

Essential

  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Preferred

  • Sound understanding of electrics, plumbing, carpentry and gas equipment.
  • H&S testing experience

Exceptional

  • Basic electrical, plumbing, building works certification (NVQ or equivalent) Previous experience of managing a preventative maintenance plan
  • Experience in a similar environment with a proven record of delivering results.
