About us
Building Chemical Research Ltd is a long established manufacturing company supplying building and landscape products throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Manage sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare bank deposits and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily reconciliations of all bank deposits, credit card transactions, payroll, etc.
- Reconcile sales tax payments
- Ensure that all supplier invoices are managed and paid on time
- Ensure that all expenditures are posted accurately on the books
- Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts
- Completing the Management Accounts
- Process VAT returns
- Credit control
- Stock control, stock valuation
- Yearend routines (accruals and prepayments for external accountants)
- General administration as normally expected in a small office environment
Essential skills and experience required:
- You must have a minimum of 3 years commercial accounting / bookkeeping experience using Sage 50 Accounts.
- Have strong Microsoft office skills, especially Word, Excel & Outlook
- Have the ability to work quickly and accurately with an eye for detail
- To be honest, discreet and trustworthy
- Have a happy friendly, positive attitude
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary:
£20.00 per hour
