About us


Building Chemical Research Ltd is a long established manufacturing company supplying building and landscape products throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare bank deposits and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily reconciliations of all bank deposits, credit card transactions, payroll, etc.
  • Reconcile sales tax payments
  • Ensure that all supplier invoices are managed and paid on time
  • Ensure that all expenditures are posted accurately on the books
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts
  • Completing the Management Accounts
  • Process VAT returns
  • Credit control
  • Stock control, stock valuation
  • Yearend routines (accruals and prepayments for external accountants)
  • General administration as normally expected in a small office environment

Essential skills and experience required:


  • You must have a minimum of 3 years commercial accounting / bookkeeping experience using Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Have strong Microsoft office skills, especially Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Have the ability to work quickly and accurately with an eye for detail
  • To be honest, discreet and trustworthy
  • Have a happy friendly, positive attitude

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
£20.00 per hour

Experience:
