As part of our expansion, we are seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Fiber Optic Splicing:


  • Perform fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, and termination of various types of fiber optic connectors.
  • Work with different fiber optic cables, including singlemode and multimode fibers.

Installation and Maintenance:


  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic cables and associated equipment in commercial settings.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal network performance.

Testing and Documentation:


  • Utilize OTDRs, power meters, and other testing equipment to conduct thorough testing of fiber optic cables.
  • Document splicing and testing results accurately for project records and client documentation.

Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to address project requirements and specifications.

Safety Compliance:


  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Fiber Splicer in a commercial setting.
  • Indepth knowledge of fiber optic technology, splicing techniques, and testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Safetyconscious with a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional certifications or training in fiber optic technology are preferred.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
