About the role
You will be working in this mixed mainstream primary school, within their specialist resource provision for students with Autism.
Your role will be working with students in year 3, who have mild Autism and need guidance and a positive role model.
Your morningswill begin in year 3 reading classes within the mainstream side, as a general TA, helping all students with their reading.
You will then move over to the ARP where you will be working on a 1-3 basis with a young boy and 2 girls with Autism, with a very sweetnature, to help them within their lessons.
The students have Autism however their SEN does not present itself in behaviours.After break, you will be leading a maths lesson within the ARP (this will already be fully planned for you and you will be teachingat a year 1 level).
This is an excellent opportunity for TA's to get some teaching experience under their belt.You will have 30 mins lunch break, with 30 mins lunch duties where you will cover a class of students within the ARP who have complex needs andare non-verbal.
Following lunch you will be used throughout the year 3 classes as needed.This role is very varied and gives you the opportunity to work with students of all needs across the school as well as getting some leadership skills.

This is a great school located in Freezywater, Enfield. They are a mixed mainstream primary school which have 2 dedicated additional resource provisions onsite. One for students with mild Autism and the other for students with more complex needs, with speechand language difficulties.
The school is a safe haven for students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and so seek to find positive role models who can be positive sources of support for all of their students.
