BMDis a nationwide, family run company based in Goldthorpe. We specialise in manufacturing and delivering building materials across the UK to people's homes and building sites. We are known for excellent customer service.

Tasks and duties will include:

Operating machinery (saws, routers etc) while ensuring company policies, procedures and operating instructions are followed.
Moving stock round the warehouse (FLT licence would be beneficial but it's not essential)
Complete product quality checks and promote best standards of work
Support other team members in packing and despatch duties as required
Working with raw materials throughout processing & production stages
Complying with all safety instructions, promote individual and team safety.
Identifying and reporting all Safety concerns, Quality issues and manufacturing problems before progressing any work.
Assist with additional duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements:

Experience using machinery such as electric saw (table / benchsaw etc) and routers is desirable
Approachable with excellent initiative and proactive approach to work
Technical aptitude
Ability to be selfsufficient and thrive in a busy working environment
Flexible approach to changing business needs
Basic mathematics and numeracy and literacy skills and good English proficiency

- proven track record in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Have experience in using hand tools.
Be able to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited procedures exist.
Have the ability to identify improvements within work area.
Willing to work flexible hours (within Monday to Friday)
